🌞🔌 The challenges of a resale photovoltaic power plant🔌🌞

✅ Green Energy Production: ☀️🔋 A photovoltaic power plant produces clean electricity from sunlight.

✅ Financial profitability: 💰🌱 Electricity resale generates income, depending on production and costs.

✅ Energy independence: 🏡🔌It offers a degree of energy autonomy, reducing dependence on traditional grids, particularly in non-interconnected areas such as La Réunion (974).

✅ Positive environmental impact: 🌍♻️Contribue to the fight against climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions. This supports sustainable development by using a clean, renewable energy source.

✅ Energy bill reduction: 💸🔌Lower energy bills by using locally generated electricity.

Understanding these issues enables us to make informed decisions for a sustainable energy future. 🌞🌿

Construction stages of a photovoltaic power plant for resale

Building a photovoltaic power plant for resale involves several key stages. Here’s a simplified overview of the main stages in the process:

  1. Feasibility study :
    • Objective: Assess the technical, economic and environmental viability of the project.
    • Activities: Site analysis, energy production estimates, cost studies, assessment of local regulations. Preparation of documents for the CRE call for tenders.
  1. Administrative for the land or, in this case, the roof:
    • Objective: Secure the land needed for construction.
    • Activities: Land negotiation, verification of title deeds, obtaining land permits.
  1. CRE call for tenders :
    • Objective: Submit the project to the CRE call for tenders to obtain a power purchase agreement.
    • Activities: Preparation of tender documents, submission, negotiations with CRE.
  1. Project design :
    • Objective: To develop detailed plans for the construction of the power plant.
    • Activities: Technical design, choice of components, system sizing, obtaining approvals.
  1. Equipment installation :
    • Objective: Installation of solar panels, inverters and other components.
    • Activities: Construction work, installation of support structures, connection of panels to the network.
  1. Grid connection :
    • Objective: Integration of the plant into the local power grid.
    • Activities: Connection work, connection tests, obtaining connection permits.
  1. Testing and Commissioning :
    • Objective: To ensure that the plant is operating correctly before commissioning.
    • Activities: Performance tests, verification of safety systems, necessary adjustments.
  1. Operation and Maintenance :
    • Objective: To ensure optimum operation throughout the life of the plant.
    • Activities: Continuous monitoring, preventive maintenance, problem solving, possible replacement of components.
  1. Electricity resale :
    • Objective: Market the electricity generated.
    • Activities: Invoicing, administrative management, economic performance monitoring.

Every step in the process, including the CRE tender, is crucial to the success of the project. It requires rigorous management and close collaboration with all those involved in the plant’s development.

Especially as it’s a long-term commitment. The aim of this PV power plant is to produce electricity for as long as possible. As a result, high-performance equipment has been chosen, and maintenance contracts are in place to ensure the plant’s smooth operation and performance. The initial purchase contract with EDF is for 20 years.
